Buckles 16th c. and earlier
Buckles that appear to have been used on armour The central ones are typical of buckles used on tassets or similar large armour buckles. The top right buckle shows a lower quality form with a welded in central bar. The bottom buckle retains rivets typical of 15th c. armour. It may have been used on a brigandine, mail item, or smaller piece of armour. Iron except for one copper alloy.
