Formed of a bowl, 4 tail lames and a pivoted fall. The bowl is formed from a single piece of 14g mild steel with no welds. It was sunk as an experiment to see what could be done with careful sinking from a relatively thin sheet. Much of the work was done cold. The central crest and edges of the fall and outer edge of the final tail plate are heavily roped. The tail lames are atached with brass capped steel rivets. The fall is attached by decorated bolts. This helmet was made by Wade Allen and Aaron Toman while working as Valerius Armouries. The bowl is app. 8 3/4 in. long, 6 7/8 in. wide and 4 1/2 in. deep.
